Qualifications

Although there are no absolute qualifications for admission to the HRIR program, most admitted students have strong undergraduate records (3.0+ on a 4.0 scale) and score at the 30th percentile or better on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE. Work experience is not required but can be beneficial.

International Applicants
International applicants whose native language is not English must score at least 79 with section scores of 21 on writing and 19 on reading for the internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). This is equivalent to 237 on the computer-based exam or 580 on the paper test.

Undergraduate Majors
We do not require any specific undergraduate major. Admitted students have degrees in fields ranging from engineering to the fine arts. Common majors include psychology, business, economics, human resources, and speech communications.

Prerequisite
Before enrolling, all students must complete an undergraduate course in microeconomics with a grade of C or better. We also recommend but do not require introductory courses in macroeconomics, general psychology, and statistics.
